Pool Status of Clubs and Workout Groups

  • Edina Masters swims at the Art Downey Aquatic Center, located at Southview Middle School, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 6:15 AM to 7:30 AM. The main contact is Julie McCarthy, office@edinaswim.com.
  • FoxJets Masters is offering practices at the Eden Prairie Community Center from 6:00 AM to 7:00 AM on Mondays through Thursdays.  Dan Kornblatt is the coach: dannyswims@aol.com
  • Genesis Aquatics is offering practices at Hopkins Eisenhower Community Center, Hopkins North Middle School and the Jean K. Freeman Aquatics Center at the U of M.
  • Hastings Masters are currently practicing.  Its summer pool is the Hastings Family Aquatic Center.  Its school-year pool is the Hastings Middle School pool.  Practices take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:10 to 7:10 AM.
  • Hopkins Masters: See Genesis Aquatics.
  • ISwim Masters is swimming on Tuesdays and Thursdays 9-11am and Saturdays at 5:30am and certain Sundays at the Aquajets Pool. Additionally, I Swim now has Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30am each week.
  • Macalester Masters is in the water at Macalester College's Riley Pool, in Saint Paul. Practices occur at  M/W/F 6:00 a.m. to 7:30, with a few Saturday practices each year. 
  • Minnetonka Masters is offering practices at the Minnetonka East Middle School Pool. Practices take place on Mondays through Saturdays from 5:45 to 7:00 AM.  Fees are $50 per month and the program indicates that all abilities as well as drop-ins are welcome.
  • MN Ice: Minnesota Ice Swim Club is a predominantly LGBTQ+, but ally-friendly swim club located in Minneapolis, MN. We are the only LGBTQ+ club in Minnesota. In addition to USMS, Minnesota Ice is a member of IGLA (International LGBTQ+ Aquatics) and competes around the world against other LGBTQ+ clubs. We practice at the Phillips Community Center, a newly renovated pool located in the heart of Minneapolis on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 7-8pm. USMS registration is required, in addition to a monthly membership fee of $30 per month. Competition is not required, nor is a competitive swim background. Typically, once a month, we also gather socially outside of practice for relationship building and camaraderie.
  • Northfield Knightcrawlers are swimming at the Faribault Community Center instead of the traditional venue at Carleton College. 
  • Relaykers do not have a home pool.  Relaykers swim wherever and whenever they can.
  • Richfield Piranhas Masters are swimming at Richfield Middle School. The Piranhas Master's Workout group has access to the Richfield Middle School pool M/W/F from 5:45-6:45 a.m.. Times and days will change once Girls' HS is over and they come back to the club. Price is $60 a month for three times a week, $40 for two times and $20 for one time a week.   • Riptide is offering its masters program at the Bluewater Aquatic Center. Current practice times: 5:30 to 6:45 a.m. with two practice pods and two pools. Monthly cost is $60.00. There is no drop in fee. All swimmers must register through the Riptide website.
  • Sea Devils. Sea Devils Swimming offers a Masters Workout Group.  We swim 3-4 times a weekfor 60-90mins.  We utilize 3 pools, St. Michael Middle School East, Big Lake High School, and Vandenberge Middle School(Elk River).  Practice dates, location and times are based on pool availability.  Additional information can be found at seadevilsswimming.com or by emailing sdvlcoachdave@gmail.com
  • SEMS (Southeast Metro Sharks)  has access to a variety of pools.
  • St. Paul Swim Team, which normally swims at the University of St. Thomas, is not currently in the water. 
  • STAR Masters is in the water but not allowing drop-in swimmers.
    STAR Masters currently uses Hamline, Oxford and St. Catherine for it's practices.
    Fairview is closed and being rebuilt.
  • Twin Cities Aquatics Cooperative is practicing Mondays 5:30-6:30pm at Phillips Community Center in Minneapolis. Contact tcaquaticscooperative@gmail.comFree with donations accepted.
  • YWCA Minneapolis Masters has operated continuously when allowed by state restriction. All practice groups (five morning groups and one evening group) are running and have openings. Prices vary based on YWCA memberships status, from $28 (members) to $66 (nonmembers)

    Swimmers have access to their specific practice group, plus open drop-ins on Friday and Saturday, and one additional practice per week, between the three YWCA pools.

  • West Express Masters are swimming at Pioneer Ridge Middle School in Chaska.  Its roster is currently full and so the program is not taking new swimmers at this time.  Practices are from 5:50 - 7:00 am Mon- Friday at a cost of $40 per month.
  • Winona Masters. We are at the Winona Senior High School (901 Gilmore Ave, Winona), swimming Tues/Thurs 6-7am and Sat 6:30-8am.

There are 1,172 registered swimmers in the Minnesota LMSC and over 60,000 nationwide. Anyone 18 years of age or older is eligible to join. No prior competitive swimming experience is necessary.
