The Minnesota Masters Board and the Hall of Fame Committee are pleased to announce the
selection of two honorees into the Hall of Fame Class of 2022, Carrie Stolar and Carol Smollen.
These two outstanding women have competed for nearly 20 years achieving numerous
individual national Top Ten times. Each has also broken and currently holds multiple MN State
swimming records.

Carrie, who is currently the MN Masters Board chair and serves as USMS secretary, has won
national championships. Carol, beside competing in individual events, participates heavily in
relays, many of which have achieved All-American status and USMS and FINA Top Ten
placements.

The formal induction ceremony will take place at the annual meeting in November.

Minnesota Masters Swimming LMSC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to a healthy swimming lifestyle for adult swimmers within 87 counties in Minnesota and 3 in Western Wisconsin. It is the local governing body for United States Masters Swimming (USMS).

There are 1,172 registered swimmers in the Minnesota LMSC and over 60,000 nationwide. Anyone 18 years of age or older is eligible to join. No prior competitive swimming experience is necessary.
